Original Item: Only One Available. The M1917 Enfield, the "American Enfield", formally named "United States Rifle, cal .30, Model of 1917" is an American modification and production of the .303-inch (7.7 mm) Pattern 1914 Enfield (P14) rifle (listed in British Service as Rifle No. 3), which was developed and manufactured during the period 1917–1918. Numerically, it was the main rifle used by the American Expeditionary Forces in Europe during World War I. The Danish Sirius Dog Sled Patrol in Greenland still use the M1917, which performs reliably in Arctic conditions, as their service weapon.
This is a very nice lower stock for the U.S. M1917 Enfield rifle, offered in good surplus condition. It has been stripped of all removable metal components and fittings. There are no markings we can find due to the heavy wear.
It is as we received it, out of long storage, and does show some staining from use, as well as some chips. There are some nicks and chips in the material but no cracks we can see. Measures about 42 1/2 inches in length. There is heavy darkening of the material in spots.
This would be a fantastic way to help restore a WWI Era M1917 Enfield rifle back to its original configuration!
