  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is a U.S. Made Enfield M-1917 Sword bayonet made in 1917 by the REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY for the .30-06 Caliber M-1917 Enfield Bolt Action rifle, as used by U.S. forces during WWI. Subsequently in WWII hundreds of these .30-06 Rifles and Bayonets were shipped to the United Kingdom for the use of their "HOME GUARD" to assist in the expected invasion of Southern England by the NSDAP hordes in 1940/41.

Once this example reached the U.K., was fitted with a British P-1907/P-1914 WWI Enfield bayonet scabbard that had the frog button to match the British P-37 Web Frog.

The bayonet is marked 1917 over REMINGTON in a circle on the ricasso. The reverse has the Ordnance "Flaming Bomb" over U.S., along with an Eagle / 14 inspection stamp. This scarce bayonet with scabbard is in fully cleaned condition, with the metalwork almost polished bright. The grip scales were also polished, which has removed some of the wood, but they display quite well.

It is generally hard to find ANY weapons that were issued to Britain's WWII HOME GUARD. Ready to display!
