Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very rare totally original WW1 Model 1916 holster for the .45 automatic 1911 pistol. This holster is maker marked by WARREN LEATHER GOODS CO. of Worcester, Mass, and was made in 1918 and inspected by J.A.O.. Warren Leather Goods produced these holsters during both WWI and WWII, however the date and brass belt clip indicate that this is definitely a WW1 holster close to 100 years in age.
This M1916 holster in very good condition, with a deep russet brown color to the leather, with the expected wear and marks from age and use. There is a tear about 3/4 inch long in the top flap at the top forward edge, and the flap bottom has been reinforced so it stays closed more effectively. All the stitches are still intact, with all brass parts still present, though there is some verdigris buildup around the rivets and hanger.
