Original U.S. WWI M1910 Cartridge Belt by Mills WIth “Half Moon” .45 Revolver Ammunition Pouch
Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. The M-1910 Infantry Belt was produced from 1911 to 1920 and had ten pockets to carry 100 cartridges on five round stripper clips for the M1903 or M1917 Rifles. There were many minor variations of pocket snap types and fabric construction. These belts continued in service through WWII and would also hold 80 .30 caliber cartridges on eight round Garand clips.
The belt and “half moon” pouch are in lovely service worn condition. The belt still retains the MILLS stamp inside of the round, but unfortunately we cannot find a date of manufacture, nor any markings on the pouch. The half moon pouch would hold two 3 round half moon clips in each pouch, totaling 6 clips, 18 rounds in total. All of the patent information is still visible on both brass retainers on each side of the belt.
This is a lovely setup featuring an increasingly difficult to find Half Moon ammunition pouch! Comes more than ready for further research and display.
