Original U.S. WWI Framed Army Girl’s Transport Tobacco Fund Donation Poster - Extremely Scarce - 26¼ x 36¾”

Regular price $895.00

Item Description

Original Item. Only One Available. This is an extremely scarce WWI donation poster, the first of its design we have ever seen, which encourages citizens to donate to the Army Girls’ Transport Tobacco Fund, which was specifically meant to provide soldiers with cigarettes on their trip overseas, from the U.S. to France. This is very interesting and highlights the importance placed on tobacco in society at the time.

The frame measures 26¼ x 36¾” and is professionally done. The poster has a lovely color overall, but it does have some condition issues, namely there are some small rips at the top of the poster, and there are fold marks across which do add some character to the piece.

One of the scarcest posters we have offered from the WWI era, already professionally framed and ready to hang! Comes ready for further research and display.
