Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice early pattern U.S. WWI Issue Map & dispatch case, complete with its original leather shoulder strap. It is nicely stamped U.S. on front and marked under the closure flap:

We are not entirely sure on the date, but it definitely has a 1 as the first number, so this is WWI Issue. Unlike later war and WWII map cases, this does not have any internal compartments, which were added to help organize the maps and documents that were being carried. The pouch measures about 11"H x 9"W x 3".
Condition is very good, with the expected wear from age. There is some staining to the exterior and interior of the pouch itself. All snaps are intact and function, and the leather shoulder strap is in nice condition as well.
