JAMES H. SUTTON, born January 16th, 1897. Commissioned at Camp Wheeler, Georgia on October 21st, 1918 and left for Camp Dix, New Jersey. He was sent to France on October 7th, 1918 where he joined the 122nd Infantry then moved to the 329th Infantry until leaving France on September 23rd, 1919. He left the army with an honorable discharge on October 14th, 1919. We have absolutely no idea of how much action he actually saw but included in his effects is his World War I Victory Medal is a service medal of the United States military which was first created in 1919.

This wonderful time capsule consists of:

• WWI US Army Infantry Sterling Silver ID Bracelet.
• Officer tunic showing "Dixie" Division badge, campaign ribbons, and sharp shooter medal.
• Officer Jodhpur pants for wearing with knee boots.
• Garrison cap with embroidered 2nd Lieutenant insignia.
• WWI Gas mask with filter and two anti-glare sticks.
• World War I Victory Medal.
• Two double DD Dixie Division shoulder patches.
• WWI US .45 1911 pistol magazine pouch dated 1918.
• U.S. marked and dated Mess kit.
• Seven different U.S. Army training manuals including most with hand written notes and named to James Sutton:

• All contained in the original WW1 wooden footlocker.
