Original Items. Only One Group Available. This is a very nice WWI uniform & gear grouping to a Corporal in the Advanced Sector, Quartermaster Corps, who served overseas from 18-23 months. The group contains a patched greatcoat, plain uniform jacket and shirt, with a Camp Sherman pillowcase, leggings, and a soldier’s housewife (sewing kit).
The group includes:
- Large WWI Greatcoat with a fantastic cloth embroidered Advance Sector Service of Supply patch to left shoulder, 3 overseas chevrons for 18-23 months overseas on the left cuff, and Corporal chevrons on the right sleeve. The interior shows good period wear, and this was certainly worn “over there” for a long time. Missing two of its eight front buttons.
- Uniform jacket, no patch, with three overseas chevrons for 18-23 months overseas on the left cuff, a red discharge chevron on the left sleeve. No collar discs.
- US Army shirt showing good period wear, with tear repair using OD green material on the front.
- Pillowcase measuring 24 x 24” for US Army, Camp Sherman.
- Pair of Leggings, size 2.
- Soldier’s housewife sewing kit with needles retained.
A good uniform and gear group, ready for display.
