This is a fantastic example of a genuine WWI 88th Infantry Division Marked Helmet painted in an ingenious camouflage pattern that implements the 88th division insignia as part of the camouflage scheme. In addition to the camouflage scheme, a lieutenant’s bar is painted on the front as well.
The helmet features a camouflage paint scheme using various shades of green, blue-green, and brick red. A large oversized 88th Division insignia appears on the crown of the helmet, which has ingeniously been implemented into the camouflage scheme. The original liner is present, along with a small portion of the original chinstrap.
