Item Description
Original Item. Only One Available. This is a lovely Czechoslovakian WWI Medal bar, including the very rare Czechoslovakian Inter-Allied Victory Medal 1914-1918. This bar may have belonged to a member of the Czech Legion, making it a very scarce example.
The medals include:
- The Czechoslovak War Cross 1918 - The medal was first created on November 7, 1918, and issued to Czechoslovak citizens and also, upon application, to citizens of Germany and Austria who had served in the Czechoslovak armed forces ( e.g. Czechoslovak Legions) during the years of the Great War with distinction and bravery, and also during border conflicts with Poland and Hungary.
- An interesting unidentified Czech Veteran’s medal reading 1906 on the front and on the back reads it as being awarded for the 25th Anniversary of the Association of Military Veterans in Skuteč. A very interesting example with a small device reading 1928.
- Czechoslovakian Inter-Allied Victory Medal 1914-1918. This medal was instituted in June 1919 as a result of an international agreement at the Inter-allied Peace Conference immediately preceding the Treaty of Versailles which was signed in June 1919. Approximately 90,000 medals were awarded.
- French Croix de Guerre with 1918 Date.
- French Commemorative 1914-1918 War Medal.
This is a fantastic medal bar, ready for further research and display.
