Original Item: Only One Available.Color poster by Joseph Stern printed in 1917 consisting primarily of the following text: "Are you 100% American? Prove it! Buy U.S. Government bonds". This message was part of the Third Liberty Loan initiative to raise funds to support the World War I. Shown above the message is a bald eagle with upswept wings flanked on each side by a United States flag and a smoking cannon. Shown below the message, centered in red and white bunting, is a blue crest with words printed in white ink: "U.S. Treasury will pay interest every six months".
The Poster was published by Sackett and Wilhelms of New York in 1917. The poster measures approximately 29” x18. The poster retains great color, but does show signs of honest age from years in storage. Some small tears here and there at the edges, and some crumbling to the upper right side. However, this is a very attractive poster that would fit in well with an otherwise drab WWI collection!
