Original U.S. WWI 151st Field Artillery Painted M1917 Doughboy Helmet

Original Item: One-Of-A-Kind. This is a fantastic genuine Great War hand painted camouflage helmet, without liner and chinstrap. Helmet features original period colored panel camouflage paint of black and yellow. On the front of the helmet is a large painted red artillery shell for the 151st Field Artillery.
The paint is somewhat worn, and definitely shows use, but it has a great look and the colors are still easily discernible. The interior of the helmet has little to none of the original paint. The helmet has no liner, a partial chinstrap and retains the top felt pad.
The underside of the rim is stamped ZH 44 faintly but visible. The heat stamp and the solid rivets on the bales identifies this as an American made helmet.
