Original Item. Only One Available. This is a fantastic Vietnam War “bringback” item, an original Soviet-supplied RPG-2 rocket, referred to by the NVA at the B40, used by the Vietcong during the war. The RPG-2 is a man-portable, shoulder-fired anti-tank weapon that was designed in the Soviet Union. It was the first successful anti-tank weapon of its type, being a successor to the earlier and unsuccessful rocket-propelled grenade RPG-1.
Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are NOT considered NFA weapons. This example is in total compliance and is totally inert. NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.
This example is painted black, and appears to retain its original paint, with heavy wear from oxidation chipping much of the paint. The round measures roughly 19¾” long and retains its tail fin assembly, with five of the six original fins retained, the sixth having broken off long ago.
The shaft is unscrewable from the head, and the upper head is unscrewable from the lower head, for inspection of the still-intact internal cone, often missing from these. This is a fantastic bringback item, the first of its kind we have offered.
A lovely item ready for further research and display.
