Original Item: One of a Kind. The Vietnam war ended up causing quite a bit of controversy in the United States, especially as casualties mounted on both sides, and the war seemed no closer to being over. What we have here is a U.S. M1 Helmet liner, possibly from WWII, that was outfit and decorated with a large PEACE on the back on a sun, rising over mountains with the rays of the sun expanding outward. The rest of the helmet has numerous small statements, as well as small drawings in areas.
The liner itself has the W logo of Westinghouse, with the correct front eyelet hole seen on WWII era helmet liners. It was most likely brought home or sold as surplus at some point, and ended up being owned by a "Dove", who were those who opposed continuing the war.
A very interesting piece of U.S. history, ready to display!
