As the conflict progressed, local Vietnamese companies began manufacturing a range of items used in the war, including the highly coveted black berets. These berets were not only a practical piece of military gear, but they also symbolized the bravery and dedication of the soldiers who wore them, making them a significant part of the war's history.
This cap is a well-made piece of headwear, crafted with high-quality felt for the exterior, and featuring a durable vinyl edge and size adjustment strip. The inside is lined with black polished rayon or nylon on the sides, providing a comfortable fit for the wearer. While the overall condition is quite nice, there are some faded areas and moth nips present.
