Original U.S. Vietnam War Japanese Made Marine Recon Knife by Kiffe with Scabbard

Original Item. Only One Available. This is a lovely textbook example of the so-called Marine Recon knife, manufactured by the Kiffe Company in Japan. The knife comes with a cast steel guard and rounded pommel.
The 6” blade is in great order, and retains the majority of its blued finish. The ricasso is marked:
KIFFE
JAPAN
The grip is in fantastic condition, and the pommel retains its original leg-tie-down rope.
The original leather scabbard is in great condition with still-pliable leather and two retained securing straps & snaps. There is loss to the finish on the snaps, and some of the leather appears a bit raw.
A great example of what is now becoming a very difficult knife to find. Comes ready for further research and display.
