Original Items: Only Ones Available. An original set of Vietnam War U.S. Issue M-1956 Load Bearing Equipment. This is The issue set, as used by servicemen of all branches during the Vietnam Conflict. Not Available for Export.
This set consists of the following pieces:
- Pair of M-1956 Universal Ammunition Pouches. Used to carry M-14 or M-16 Magazines. Both pouches are dated 1962.
- Late Issue M-36 Pistol Belt. This belt dates to the mid-late 1950s. As used in Vietnam. Markings are illegible.
- Black Leather M-1916 Holster: The holster is in great condition and features a clear US in oval embossed on the front. The reverse still retains a manufacturer’s stamp for Bucheimer.
- M-1956 M1911 Pistol Ammunition Magazine Pouch: The pouch is in good overall condition and does show signs of use with verdigris on the metal fittings but nothing extensive. Not dated.
- Two Inert Reproduction M26 Lemon Grenades, not real but great for display.
- Original U.S. M1956 Vietnam Era Entrenching Tool Shovel Cover with shovel, great shape overall. Not dated but marked with contract stamps.
- M-7 Bayonet by BOC. With M8A1 Scabbard by WD. Attached to shovel cover.
- Two M1956 Canteen covers, one with the dot stamps and one with snaps. The plastic canteens are dated 1968 and 1972. One cover has a cup inside.
- M-1956 Field Suspenders, not marked.
- 1st Aid Dressing Pouch w/ sealed Carlisle Bandage.
- M-1956 Canvas Field Pack (aka “Butt Pack”) , unissued condition.
- Mess kit with Utensils. Messkit is dated 1966
- M62A1 Binocular case, no binoculars inside. Strap retained.
- Claymore Carrying bag, instructions are gone. Good for display.
