Original Items. Only One Lot Available. The BLU-26B is a High-Explosive-Fragmentation (HE-Frag), small, aerially-dispersed, centrifugally armed, Anti-Personnel (AP), submunition that is Impact (IMP) fired. The submunition consists of two hemispheres held together by a crimp ring. The bodies of the BLU-26 are aluminium, embedded with steel HE-Frag balls. Like all deactivated ordnance, this lot is Not Available for Export.
This is a lovely lot of Vietnam War era clusterbomb bomblets used by the United States. They include two blue-colored training BLU-26/B bomblets, two smaller unpainted bomblets, and one large semi-spherical outer casing for one of the smaller ones, which weighs much less than the bomblets themselves. The semi-sphere measures 4 ¾” in diameter and 2 ½” deep.
