Original U.S. Vietnam War Era Named M69 Flak Vest Body Armor in Size Small

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very good condition M69 Flak Vest Body Armor with 3/4 Collar in a size SMALL. These were designed with side elastic drawstrings, snap reinforced front zipper, and front two pockets. This allowed a secure fit and maximum protection from shrapnel and low velocity projectiles.
Widely used by Army infantry, Navy sailors and Marines also equipped these, though not widely. Like its predecessor M-1952A, it was fabricated from 12 plies of ballistic nylon, to protect the wearer form explosion fragments. In fact, the name “M69” is the 1969 version of this series body armor’s model (ARMOR, BODY FRAGMENTATION PROTECTIVE, WITH ¾ COLLAR). Since this series of body armor are similar to each other, people refer all of them by “M69”.
This example is marked Size SMALL 38 / 8470-823-7370 on the top of the label, with stock number DSA-100-4996, so this is a later stock number from a Vietnam war era contract.
In very good shape, the only issue is that the laces are missing from one side, but they can be easily replaced. The left side already has been replaced with non-elastic shoe lacing apparently. Ready to display or even wear!
