Original Item: Very Few Available. Vietnam Era M-16A1 Shipping Boxes with original packing materials. These are the first M16A1 shipping boxes we have ever seen! Undoubtedly a very rare article, as it is quite certain very few survived over the years!
Box consists of an outer slip case with an inner portion which is composed of three portions (presumably the rifle was shipped broken down in parts). The outer “slip” portion of the box is very well marked, and all are dated “1-76” (January, 1976), with designation and patent numbers on the face. Of note NO SERIAL NUMBER IS LISTED Indicating that this could be displayed with almost any M-16A1!

Internal packing elements consist of several sheets of foil/paper packaging materials which still maintain the outward shape of an M16 Assault Rifle. The outer slip portion of the box has had the tape giveaway from age.
