Original Item. Only One Available. The POMZ, POMZ-2 and POMZ-2M (ПОМЗ, ПОМЗ-2, ПОМЗ-2М) are three types of Soviet-made stake mounted anti-personnel fragmentation mine. The POMZ mine was used during the Second World War. It was superseded by the POMZ-2, and later by the improved POMZ-2M. These mines (and copies thereof) have been used in numerous conflicts, including the Vietnam War and the Korean War.
Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are not considered NFA weapons. This example is in total compliance and is NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.
This is a great example of one that was halved and mounted to an EOD Familiarization Plaque by the U.S. Military for training purposes during the Vietnam War era. It is missing the fuze piece but retains the fragmented body and stick. As mentioned, it is completely halved so it could be mounted onto this board. This example would have been displayed alongside many similarly-mounted pieces of ordnance.
The board measures 10 x 16” and the piece is roughly 1 ½” deep. There is a retained hook for hanging the board vertically.
An outstanding piece, the first example of these rare POMZ mines we have offered. Ready for display.
