Original Item. Only One Available. This is a rather scarce example of a pyrotechnic hand grenade simulator used to prepare Soldiers, Marines, sailors and airmen for the rigors of combat by simulating the stress and confusion of hand grenade and artillery explosions. This example is dated November 1975, perfect for Vietnam War era use.
Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are NOT considered NFA weapons. This example is in total compliance and is totally inert. NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.
This M116A1 Hand Grenade Simulator is made of a cardboard tube with a label and an attached Time Blasting Fuse Igniter M3A1. The fuse igniter retains the cap and pull cord, along with the safety clip still in place. A hole has been drilled through the bottom, likely to render it inert. The label reads:
SIMULATOR,
HAND GRENADE, M116A1
FIRING INSTRUCTIONS.
…
MEI-1-2 11/75
This denotes a date of November 1975. This is an excellent example of this very scarce grenade. It is the first we have offered.
