  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is a great Vietnam War-era Explosive Ordnance Disposal training projectile representing the PG-2 anti-tank grenade used with the Soviet RPG-2 launcher. The trainer is constructed primarily from solid resin with metal tailfins, making it a completely inert training and display piece. It measures approximately 19 inches long and retains nearly all of the paint applied during its service as an EOD instructional aid.

Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are NOT considered NFA weapons. This example is in total compliance and is totally inert. NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.

The RPG-2 is a man-portable, shoulder-fired anti-tank weapon that was designed in the Soviet Union. It was the first successful anti-tank weapon of its type, being a successor to the earlier and unsuccessful rocket-propelled grenade RPG-1.

The RPG-2 offered better range and armor penetration, making it useful against late and post-World War II tanks, in contrast to the RPG-1 that had only marginal utility. The basic design and layout was further upgraded to produce the ubiquitous RPG-7.

The rocket measures approximately 19” and retains nearly all original paint from when the EOD team using this example employed it for training purposes.

This example is particularly noteworthy as a purpose-made EOD recognition or training representation of the PG-2 projectile, retaining its metal fin assembly and wartime-era training finish. Its solid resin construction provides a clear distinction from an original live or subsequently demilitarized munition while preserving the external form used to train personnel in the identification of hostile anti-tank ordnance.
