  • Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This interesting custom-made knuckle knife appears to have started life as an M7 bayonet, but had a custom set of knuckles added on, with a great Gerber Mk. II knife sheath. This example came to us from the Larry Thomas American Edged Weapon Museum in Intercourse, Pennsylvania, further cementing its authenticity and prestige.

The knife sports a 6 ½” blade that most certainly came off of an M7 Bayonet, and a grip which looks very similar to that of the M7 Bayonet. The knuckles are a separate piece attached at the ricasso and the pommel. The hilt retains most of the original black paint with areas of loss. The overall length is 11”.

The sheath of this example is a Gerber MkII Fighting Survival Knife scabbard which has had the belt loop entirely cut off, with the securing strap gone as well, although the snap end is still on the small pouch. There is no stone in the pouch. There is a leg-tie-down leather thong still attached at the end.

A fantastic custom-made knuckle knife from the Vietnam War, ready to display.

    Dimensions:
    Blade length: 6 1/2”
    Overall length: 11”
    Scabbard length: 8”
