  • Original Items: One Set Only. The M68 kit was designed to familiarize personnel with the placement and arming of a real M18 Claymore directional mine. It comes with all the components of a real Claymore kit packed in an M7 bandoleer. The plastic M33 Inert AP Mine is the inert training and practice version of the M18 Claymore. However, this example was not made as a trainer, and is actually an original M18A1 Claymore dated February 1967, perfect for Vietnam War issue!

Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are not considered NFA weapons. This example is in total compliance and is NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.

This example isn’t marked anywhere as a trainer, and is marked with a date of February 1967 on the back. It does not contain an explosive or pyrotechnic filler of any kind, but it still retains the shrapnel on the interior It is packed in a Claymore bag with inert M10 simulated detonator cap wire with connectors, a FIRING DEVICE ELECTRICAL M57 "clacker" firing control, a TEST SET ELECTRICAL M40 circuit testing kit, and a very rare Electric Blasting Cap M4 extra long spool roll in its original wrap!

The mine itself is cast in green plastic, complete with internal shrapnel, some of which has broken loose. It is definitely marked BACK / M-18A1 APERS MINE / LOT LOP-2-33 DATE 2-67 on the back, and FRONT TOWARDS ENEMY on the front. It still retains the original fold out support legs as well as the wire connectors. There are some very heavy cracks and chips on the body of the inert mine, and it looks to have been repainted at one point which obfuscates some of the markings.

The M57 clacker is still functional and in great shape overall. It is dated 1 67 for January 1967, so this is certainly a matching Vietnam War issue set! The bag is in very good condition and the instruction label is fully intact! Overall a nice complete condition set of a rare and essential Vietnam Era training set, possibly the best Claymore set we have ever offered! Ready to display!
