Original Item: One-of-a-kind Set. This incredible Vietnam Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division grouping consists of the following items:
- This is a United States Helicopter Flight Helmet type SPH-4 made by Gentex. The helmet is in overall excellent complete condition with the liner, headset, visor, microphone, and clear visor. The helmet is maker marked by Gentex 8415 and is a size regular. The front of the helmet has a fantastic hand painted 1st Cavalry Division insignia with helicopter. The top of the helmet reads:
WHEN I DIE I'LL GO TO HEAVENBECAUSE I'VE SPENT MY TIME IN HELL.
Above the right ear reads: AN KHE and above the left ear reads VIET-NAM 67-71. The reverse reads CAPT. V.A. SPEARS.
This is a rare personalized Vietnam era original rare helicopter helmet in wonderful complete condition!
- M1 Helmet liner with 1st Cav Div insignia painted on the side.
- 1st Cavalry Division Military Police Brassard.
- Shirt, Army, Aviation, Crew Member with Major insignia collar tab and what appears to be a 7th Cavalry Regiment tab. Name tag reads SCOBIE. Offered in very good condition.
- Trousers, Army, Aviation, Crew Member in very good condition.
- Boots with "Spike Protection" in Size 12W. Appear to be unissued.
- Individual Equipment Belt with Suspenders Dated 1965.
- Plastic Canteen with carrier.
- 2 x Pistol Belts with M1 Carbine double magazine pouches.
- M1 Carbine canvas carry case.
