  • Original Item. Only One Available. This is an outstandingly scarce piece of equipment purportedly used by the American Central Intelligence Agency during the Vietnam War as a “Silent Kill” crossbow for the purpose of assassinations. This is a lightweight collapsible crossbow.

This model of crossbow is pictured in “The Ultimate Spy Book” by Melton on Page 142, where it states that they were used in the 1970s, and would shoot either a knife blade or a steel bolt. It was originally meant "for use in assassinations or combat missions, but in practice the crossbow had mainly been used for killing guard dogs."

The crossbow is stamped on the top of the wire retention housing:

    R D
    1009022

    B

These are the only markings on the crossbow, and may be a clue in further identifying its history.

When the stock is fully extended, the crossbow measures roughly 24” long, with a 28 ¼” lathe span.

An outstanding example, the first we’ve ever offered. Comes ready for further research and display!
