  • Original Item. Only One Available. This is a lovely inert example of the AN-M14, a Thermite (TH3) Incendiary (INC), Pyrotechnic-Delay (P-DLY), hand-grenade that burns at 4,000°F (2200°C) used primarily to provide a source for intense heat to destroy equipment. The hand-grenade body is of thin sheet-metal and is cylindrical in shape. It is filled with an INC mixture, Thermite TH3 and First-Fire-Mixture VII. The hand-grenade fuze M201A1 is a P-DLY igniting fuze. Like all deactivated ordnance, this grenade is Not Available for Export.

The grenade is in good overall condition with a tag on the side denoting it as INERT. The bottom of the grenade has been cut off like a can, and is still inside, just loose. The markings on the body of the grenade read:

    INCEN
    TH
    LOT PB-4389-61 10-53

This notes a manufacture date of October 1953. The fuze is marked:

    FUZE M201A1
    BSI. Inc. -LOT
    CP. 110802-46

The fuze retains the spoon and pull ring, and is in good condition. The top of the grenade has some residue as shown, but the body retains the majority of its original paint.

A great example of a scarce Vietnam War incendiary grenade, ready for further research and display.
