  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is a wonderful example of a Canadian made Fleur de Lis green beret dated 1972. The most interesting feature of the beret is the fact that it does not have a flash present on the front. Not having a flash on the front would indicate that the original owner of this beret was never assigned to a specific group.

The enamel pin on the flash features the intersecting dagger representing the V-42 dagger issued to each member of the force. The encircling scroll which arches at the base bears the Special Forces motto, "DE OPPRESSO LIBER" which is translated from Latin as "To Free the Oppressed." The reverse is marked as G 23.

The top lining is marked with:

    GENUINE
    FLEUR DE LIS
    NOVEMBER
    1972 6 ¼
    BERET GREEN
    DOROTHEA KNITTING MILLS

The condition is excellent and comes more than ready to display!
