  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is an unusual find: Genuine Vietnam War Era U.S. Army M7 bayonet/fighting knife with original M8A1 scabbard for the M16 with the original repack box from 1977. This knife-style bayonet was based on the M4 bayonet for the M1 Carbine, which was itself based on the M3 fighting knife. Following the Vietnam War, the bayonets that were unissued were serviced back to factory-original condition, wrapped in paper and metallic sheeting, and sealed in boxes for long term storage. Occasionally these pop up with an opened box from time to time. This example was opened but still retains the original packaging.

Packed in the box is an M-7 Bayonet, from one of the numerous contractors that originally made them, along with the correct issue OD green fiber scabbard marked U.S. M8A1. This design features a fiberglass body, metal throat, and canvas frog and securing strap with a steel pistol belt hook.

The perfect accessory for any Vietnam War issue M16 Rifle! It cant get any better than this!
