Original Item: One-of-a-kind. This is a framed image of a young soldier dressed in a Pattern 1885 Five Button Fatigue Jacket and wearing a Pattern 1883 Campaign hat. The gilt painted frame measures approximately 28" x 32" and the image itself measures approximately 16" x 20". The image appears to be an early type of photograph (Albumen print?) that was painted over to add color and tone. Overall condition of the image is excellent, the frame is old with repairs and dame but will display nicely.
