Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nicely woven Spanish American War 100 round ammo belt, for the new M1892 Krag-Jørgensen Service Rifle. The design is essentially an adaptation of the earlier belt for the .45-70 government cartridges used by the Springfield Trapdoor rifle. Instead of having 45 bullet loops, for a total capacity of 45 rounds.
All of the woven cartridge loops are intact and in very good shape. Currently measures about 40 inches long, but definitely can be adjusted shorter or longer. It has all the correct brass fittings, with a lovely mustard colored patina. The belt still retains the heavy brass keepers on either side, and overall is in very good shape.
