Original Item: Only One Available. This is an excellent Mills style Web Double Ammunition belt for the new Krag-Jørgensen Service Rifle manufactured by Mills & Orndorff with an 1894 patent date, perfect for Spanish-American War issue. We don’t see the double-loop belts often, but when we do they are almost always tan. This is one of the first blue double loop belts we have offered.
The belt is a khaki web material and double-sleeves, so it has spaces for 100 30/40 Krag cartridges. The web belt is soft and pliable and in fine condition, but several loops show very heavy wear, and there appears to be a modern repair to a break in the belt, with a piece of leather attached for reinforcement. This belt also has a saber loop, something we don’t often see on these!
