Item Description
Original Item. Only One Available. This is a gorgeous example of an Early American powder horn with lovely tack construction as well as a retained suspension ring. The trim of the horn is affixed with 10 tacks holding the wooden bottom in place, and an additional 40 tacks in the wood itself. The horn measures roughly 13” long.
The mouthpiece is well-carved but is missing the plug. There is a very small ring in the wooden bottom with a small ovular suspension ring connected.
A phenomenal horn from Early America, a true one-looker. Ready for further research and display.
