Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is a phenomenal M1885 Uniform Coat named to a Sergeant William Parker of the Artillery. We haven’t been able to positively identify this soldier, but there is research work to be done.
The jacket is in great condition with all 9 of its Federal eagle buttons retained. There are great Artillery Sergeant’s chevrons on both sleeves, and a worn Marksman Badge on the left breast. The interior of the coat is in good condition with heavy sweat staining from service. The jacket is named on the interior WM. PARKER.
The jacket comes with a period black leather belt with a brass buckle, and a set of white uniform gloves. The entire set does have a sort of cigarette-smell to it, so bear caution when handling it.
An honest M1885 uniform set, ready for further research and display.
