Original Item. One-of-a-Kind Set. This is a fantastic M1902 uniform set which is unfortunately in severe disrepair due to heavy mothing across the uniform. The set belongs to a Quartermaster Sergeant supposedly in the 13th Field Artillery, Battery G. The jacket of the set has absolutely tremendous quilting on the interior to show his initials, G.W.S..
The jacket has Chevrons on both sleeves for Quartermaster Sergeant, with a shell patch under the chevrons on the right sleeve, denoting Field Artillery. There is also a service stripe on each cuff, denoting 4 years of prior service. There are US collar pins. There is heavy mothing across the collar, both cuffs, and the back.
The M1902 visor has red artillery bands around the cap, but there is extremely heavy mothing at the back of the cap. There is a 13th Field Artillery, Battery G pin on the front. The chinstrap is held in by two gilt buttons. The interior shows that the sweatband is extremely cracked and crazed, and should not be handled, as it will rip. There is a maker mark for the Goldman Uniform Company of Pittsburgh, PA.
