Original U.S. Pre WWI Era Rare Mills Canvas Holster For The Various Models Of The US Army .38 Caliber Service Revolver

Original Item: Only One Available. Now this is an excellent Pre WWI Era Mills Canvas Holster, as used with the M1892/1896/1901 .38 Caliber Service Revolver. Constructed of heavy woven fabric consisting of three major component parts, the body/flap, hanger and hanger loop. All the edges are bound with a lighter weight cloth to prevent fraying. The hanger is attached to the holster with the hanger loop.
The end cap is brass and held in place with 3 rivets. The hanger and snap closure are also brass. All brass parts have a blackened finish called "Mills Bronze" by the company. The fabric color is olive drab or khaki. The end of the muzzle cap is normally stamped with the Mills trademark though this one is no longer visible.
An excellent, unissued holster that comes more than ready for further research and display.
