Original U.S. Pre-WWI 9th Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers M1902 Khaki Uniform - Segregated African American Regiment

Item Description

Original Item. Only One Available. The 9th Cavalry Regiment is a parent cavalry regiment of the United States Army. Historically, it was one of the Army's four segregated African-American regiments and was part of what was known as the Buffalo Soldiers. The regiment saw combat during the Indian and Spanish–American Wars. During Westward Expansion, the regiment provided escort for the early western settlers and maintained peace on the American frontier.

This is a great M1902 Khaki field uniform with period-applied insignia for the 9th Cavalry Regiment, Troop G. These uniforms were worn by members of the 9th Cavalry for many years as shown in the photograph.

The uniform is in good shape with the only serious damage being the fraying on the ends of the shoulder boards. All buttons on the uniform are retained and it displays rather beautifully.

Finding any uniform for an African-American unit from this period is very difficult, so don’t miss out. This example comes ready for further research and display.
