  • Original Item: Only One Available. I think there is a good chance this gun was hardly used although there is a small wood repair to the left side of the stock. I rather think this was put away early on and remained in storage for over 100 years. The lock is a percussion trade lock by JOSEPH GOLCHER of KING STREET, DARLASTON in STAFFORDSHIRE, ENGLAND, who worked from 1830 to 1865. It was mounted by a Country Gunsmith, very possibly the Gunsmith whose name appears on the barrel:-

    G.B.FOGG
    MANCHESTER
    N.H.

GILMAN B. FOGG worked as a Gunsmith in MANCHESTER, NEW HAMPSHIRE from 1845 until 1879.

In overall very nice condition, with some very well executed professional repairs. Ready to display!
