  • Original Item: Only One Available. This just came out of the attic after a hundred years of storage, together with a couple of hundred other guns. Here is a heavy octagonal barreled Rifled "Kentucky" style rifle, which more correctly is known as a Pennsylvania Rifle. This example is fitted with a 27" octagonal barrel of considerable weight, with heavily rifled small bore of approximately .39", a common size for these rifles. This Short Sporting Percussion Rifle is just 43" in overall length.

It has mostly brass mounts, which includes Hook Butt Plate, trigger guard and front ram rod pipe. Comes complete with cheek piece carved into the left butt stock and brass-tipped ram rod. The cap lock bolster is present, but loose.

Nice and tight with good working action, cleaned and ready to display!
