Original Item: Only One Available. This a very nice example of an early 20th century West Point cadet’s parade shako. It is missing the plume (very common). The front brass badge reads Duty, Honor, Country, West Point, MDCCC, USMA.
Leather liner reads has faded gold embossed maker information. West Point, New York is the home of the United States Military Academy.
The stiff patent leather peak retains the brass edging and the Academy brass helmet plate is all present, the brass has a wonderful patina. Overall a wonderful example of a turn of the century West Point Cadet Shako.
