Original Item: Only One Available.This nice early 20th century West Point cadet’s parade hat shako has its original plume. The front brass badge reads Duty, Honor, Country, West Point, MDCCC, USM.
Leather liner reads The Cadet Store, West Point, N.Y. in a diamond shaped logo as well as J.W. BAYLY & SON, INC. PHILA. PA. EST. 1865. West Point, New York is the home of the United States Military Academy. The hat is in solid old condition, with the brass cadet buttons long missing.
The stiff patent leather peak retains the brass edging and the Academy brass helmet plate is all present and the brass has a wonderful patina. The black plume to front is still present making this a very nice display item, as it came straight from the attic.
