Original Item. Only One Available. This is a stellar embossed copper powder flask manufactured during the Mexican-American War era. This example features a man and his two hunting dogs tracking down a bear, which has climbed up into a hollow dead tree. This depiction is on both sides of the flask.
The flask is marked PATENT on the top of the cap which is still unscrewable. There is no powder remaining in the flask. This was likely meant as a hunting flask given the depiction. A very beautiful flask that will fit well into any Civil War or 19th Century firearm collection! The flask measures roughly 7½” in length.
