Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very interesting U.S-made double barrel "Combination gun", where one barrel is a shotgun, and the other a rifle. The barrel channel is stamped HOGADARU over COLE, DETROIT, MICHIGAN. We have not been able to find much information regarding these markings, whether they are a maker, a retailer, or otherwise, making this a very interesting research opportunity.
The left rifled barrel appears to be about .40 Caliber and the right about 16 bore for shot. It features a brass butt plate with brass patch box and brass trigger guard. The barrel assembly appears to have come unattached to the front of the wood half stock and will need attention. It shows some evidence of past repairs.
Coming to us AS IS from many years in storage we offer this as it has been received for the home gunsmith to restore. A neat early AMERICAN combination gun from before the Civil War!
