Original Item: Only One Available. This is a great genuine U.S. M1887 sling. Constructed as a one piece sling - not the stitched 2 piece type- with brass double claw hook on one end and a brass stud button on the other. There are no leather keeper loops. These were designed for the Springfield Trapdoor or Krag rifles. This example is still wrapped in its original twine.
Condition of leather is good and supple, has darkened over time, complete with heavy stitching, proper adjustment holes and correct pattern double brass hook. Some cracking is evident but overall functional and serviceable. An excellent upgrade for any Springfield Trapdoor or Krag rifle!
