Original U.S. M1887 Springfield Trapdoor or Krag Rifle Leather Sling

Original Item: Only One Available. Genuine U.S. M1887 sling. Constructed as a stitched 2 piece sling with brass double claw hook on one end and a brass stud button on the other. It is not clear whether the pieces of the sling were joined originally or as a repair. The stitching is heavy duty and regular, and was done quite some time ago. There are two leather keeper loops. Designed for the for Springfield Trapdoor or Krag rifles.
Condition of leather is good and supple, has darkened over time, complete with heavy stitching, two leather keeper loops, proper adjustment holes and correct pattern double brass hook. Some cracking is evident but overall functional and serviceable. It has been rubbed down with neatsfoot oil to help condition the leather. An excellent upgrade for any Springfield Trapdoor or Krag rifle!
