Original U.S. M1860 Light Cavalry Sword with Scabbard- Untouched

Original Item: Only One Available. This is the classic Union light cavalry sword of the U.S. Civil War. It has an all brass hilt with three bar guard and leather covered grip, however the brass wire wrap is now absent. The leather grip has a most appealing matured patina that actually is carried throughout this weapon.
The 35" curved blade has a single blood fuller to each side. A date and the manufacturer's name that would normally appear on the opposite sides of the blade fare either no longer legible.
The sword comes with the matched original curved all steel scabbard bearing two hanging rings. The drag of the scabbard is marked A.M. at the bottom. A fine civil war sword offered in as found untouched uncleaned condition after more than 100 years in storage.
