Both are completely inert and in total compliance with the current BATF standards governing ordnance. They cannot be used as a destructive device and are not available for export.

- U.S. Korean War Inert M29 Practice Energa AT Rifle Grenade - Dated 1952: This Practice AT rifle grenade M29 consists of two parts: a body and a stabilizer tube-fin assembly of steel. A separately issued stabilizer tube-fin assembly is available for replacement purposes. The M29 grenade may be fired at a target without danger to the target other than from impact. The grenade has a maximum range of approximately 150 meters.

The grenade still retains its original blue color with full white stenciling that reads as follows:

- Vietnam War INERT Practice M31 HEAT Anti-Armor Rifle Grenade Trainer Dated 1961: The M31 HEAT is a fin-stabilized anti-tank rifle grenade designed in the late 1950s to replace the Belgian ENERGA rifle grenade which was adopted by the US Army and US Marines as an emergency stop-gap measure during the Korean War. Like the ENERGA, it has a nose-initiated, based-detonated HEAT warhead, but unlike the ENERGA, the mechanical impact fuse system is replaced with a less complex and more reliable piezo-electric fuse system which also allows higher angles of impact, up to 65 degrees.

This example has not been repainted and retains the original blue color very well, with all markings still legible. The grenade is approximately 17” in length with a 3 ¾” base width, including the fins. The tail fins are a little bent, but that is expected with trainers such as this one, at least you know it was used by the military!
