Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. Genuine Korean War Era U.S. Army M4 Carbine bayonet fighting knife with original M8A1 scabbard. Nicely marked U.S. M4 / CONETTA on the blade side of the cross guard. This was manufactured by Conetta Manufacturing Company of Stamford, Conn., who produced bayonets for the M14 and M16 rifles as well.

Very good condition clean blade with original phosphate finish. Zero rust or post-manufacture sharpening that we can see. Blade shows very minor in and out wear and missing finish on the tip. Grips are the Korean War era black phenolic type, and they are in excellent condition, with no cracks or chips, just a bit of wear from the scabbard strap.

Comes with an OD green fiber scabbard marked U.S. M8A1 V.P. CO also in offered in very good condition. This design features a fiberglass body, metal throat, and canvas frog and securing strap with a steel pistol belt hook.  It was manufactured by Victory Plastics, whose stylized V P logo is also on the back of the scabbard body. The canvas is in great shape, as are the metal fittings and snap though there is wear to the finish on the brass.

The perfect accessory for any Korean War issue M1 Carbine.
