Original U.S. Korean War Era M1 Helmet & Liner with 3-Piece Burlap Cover as Worn During 1958 Lebanon Crisis

Original Item. Only One Available. The 1958 Lebanon crisis was a political crisis in Lebanon caused by political and religious tensions in the country that included an American military intervention, which lasted for around three months until President Camille Chamoun, who had requested the assistance, completed his term as president of Lebanon. American and Lebanese government forces occupied the Port of Beirut and Beirut International Airport. With the crisis over, the United States withdrew.
This is an interesting 1950s M1 Helmet with a three-piece burlap cover as worn during the 1958 Lebanon Crisis. The helmet has a heat-lot stamp of M-170A, which we are unsure about the date of. The burlap cover shows heavy wear especially along the brim of the helmet.
The liner is a Korean War era example, marked US / 45. The interior has clean OD7 Olive Drab HBT Webbing secured by blacked “A”-Washers, which show some oxidation. The sweatband, nape strap, and chin strap are present and in mostly solid condition.
